This summer, youth (ages 16-22) will gain exposure to entrepreneurship, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities through a seven-week summer internship program designed to provide temporary workforce support for Black businesses while exposing young people to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship principles.

When do applications close? May 15, 2022
How old are eligible Future Entrepreneurs? Ages 16 – 22
Do I have to live in Detroit? Host businesses and Future Entrepreneurs must live in Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne county.
Is this a paid internship? Selected Future Entrepreneurs will be paid $15/hr.
Do the host businesses pay the Future Entrepreneurs? MDBBA will be responsible for paying the Future Entrepreneurs.
Can any business host a Future Entrepreneur? MDBBA member can apply to host a Future Entrepreneur.
I have no work experience, can I still apply to be a Future Entrepreneur? Future Entrepreneurs can apply to be an intern without previous work experience.
What type of businesses can apply? Businesses with a brick-and-mortar located in Macomb, Oakland, or Wayne county are eligible to apply.
