MEET OUR TEAM

Charity Dean

President/ CEO
Charity Dean is the owner of Dean Law and Consulting established in 2018 in Detroit, Michigan. She is the former Director of Civil Rights for the City of Detroit. Charity is an advisory member of the Detroit Women's Leadership Network, the president of Grandmont Community Association and was recently appointed by Governor Whitmer to serve on the Michigan Women’s Commission. She was awarded Crain’s 40 under 40 in 2020 for her role in leading the City’s small business response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kai Bowman

COO
Kai is the owner of Clutch Consulting and former Executive Director for Development in the Mayor's Office. In that role he negotiated over $35M in community benefits as part of a $2.5B FCA plant expansion deal generating 5,000 new jobs. In addition to this work, he served as co-chair for the Mayor's Equity Council Entrepreneurship committee and worked on mitigation strategies for Detroit small businesses in response to COVID-19.
